My Aspirations
As someone who has been working and living in the Klang Valley for 12 years, I understand the hopes, issues, and challenges faced by the Petaling Jaya community. My ASPIRATION is to work with you to continue the changes starting from the community, parliamentary constituency, and national levels.
Let’s ensure PETALING JAYA continues to be a sustainable and prosperous development centre. PJ BOLEH!
National Reformation
To formulate national economic, industrial and technological policies based on the principle of comparative advantage in order to identify the main direction of national development based on the economic structure and level of development.
To champion the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and enacting specific policies for SMEs to maximize their potential in line with the experience of Germany, Japan and Taiwan.
To lobby for the establishment of a Special Select Committee on Climate Change and Sustainable Development in Parliament, and continue to support the drafting of acts related sustainable development such as the Transboundary Haze Act and others.
Sustainable Transport & Amenities
Improve the first-and-last mile connectivity and public transportation, such as using vans, pedestrian walk-ways and bicycle lanes, as well as allowing the usage of Personal Mobility Devices (PMDs) like Beam through regulation and supporting infrastructure. App development should be supported to improve custom- ers’ service level.
Collaborate with state and local governments so that any developments are based on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and net-zero emissions.
Encourage the construction, upkeeping and upgrading of sports and recreational facilities. Add more greening projects, and organize hobby/interest workshops for the elderly.
Dignifying the Youth group through PJ UP!
To empower SMEs such as hawkers, small traders and online sellers through a series of branding, marketing, product development and innovation training.
For this purpose, a startup hub called PJ Up! offering entrepreneurial guidance services, loan financing advisory & training will be established to assist youths and entrepreneurs.
High-value courses such as solar panel installation, video editing, smart home installation will be offered at night/weekends to gig workers, youths and adults so that they are employable hopefully at the salary range of above RM3,000.
Harmonious Community
To set up a consultative council in the Petaling Jaya Parliamentary seat with members of the management committee, residents’ associations, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), and activists.
To intensify the youth empowerment program through the organization of workshops at the regional and international level in collaboration with international NGOs.
To increase programs with the community to foster the spirit of unity, neighbourhood, and #KitaBantuKita
